We care about the people and organisations we work with. Most of our clients are in defence and government, and while we work discreetly, we've always believed that good security is built on trust and openness, not locked behind paywalls.

Our Story

In 2017, our CEO and Founder, Josh Weeks left RAAF Williamtown with a vision - he wanted to Secure Australia. Josh began Alpha Echo with the vision of providing Cyberworthiness consultancy services to Government - he saw the opportunity to start his own company as a means of having greater impact on security outcomes, getting more done with fewer resources, and providing the best possible value-for-money for Australia.

Since 2018, our company has grown to over 40 staff, located in Newcastle, Adelaide, Canberra and Melbourne. Many Defence veterans constitute our workforce, as we provide assurance services, assessment, training, intel and more to our Government clients.

A key focus for AE remains Government and Defence - protecting some of Australia's most advanced capabilities and assets. Since 2024, we've expanded into the private sector, providing military grade cybersecurity outcomes and advice for our commercial clients - clients who have a significant impact on Australia's future.

Today, Alpha Echo is a people-first company with a head office in Newcastle's CBD and sovereign capabilities that continue to grow from within our innovative team. Regardless of our ongoing developments or growth, we remain committed to one core mission - Securing Australia®.
